the TREU story…

Design has always been central to who I am.  From a young age, growing up on a hobby farm in Wisconsin, creativity came naturally—expressed through drawing, sculpture, and a deep sensitivity to nature, form, color, texture, and light. That creative instinct, paired with a strong aptitude for science and structure, made design a natural path. I’ve always operated at the intersection of art and logic—where creativity meets precision.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture with a minor in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Following graduation, I began my professional career at Kohler Co., where I was immersed in the world of luxury hospitality design as well as kitchen & bath. That foundation shaped my approach and set a high standard for quality, coordination, and detail. I went on to work at a design-build firm specializing in custom restaurants and residences, and later at an architecture firm designing both large-scale hospitality projects for major hotel brands and intimate boutique private clubs.

Today, I live on Lauderdale Lake in southeastern Wisconsin, serving clients locally and nationwide.  I bring the rigor and refinement of hospitality design into residential work—delivering spaces that are thoughtful, cohesive, and meticulously detailed. I approach every project with care and intentionality, tailoring each design to my clients’ specific functional needs and aesthetic goals. While my background is rooted in luxury, my approach is grounded in the belief that thoughtful design should be accessible and deeply personal, whether working within a modest footprint or a larger, more complex project. From one-bedroom log cabins to five-diamond resorts, I have done it all, and each project receives the same level of care and attention.
